A PAKISTANI POLITICIAN AND ACTIVIST SAFEGUARDING THE FUTURE OF OUR CHILDREN

MPA SARAH AHMAD’S JOURNEY
A Calling Beyond the Corporate World
After earning her MBA, Sarah Ahmad built a career in multinational corporations and academia. However, her lifelong passion for child protection and social welfare led her to public service and politics. In 2019, she became Chairperson of the Child Protection & Welfare Bureau (CPWB). Under her leadership, CPWB implemented key reforms to enhance rescue operations, establish rehabilitation programs, and strengthen partnerships with law enforcement to save and protect destitute children across Punjab. These efforts gained recognition from the Government of Pakistan, the US government, and international organizations like the United Nations. CPWB has also collaborated with UNICEF Pakistan to establish child protection units.
Expanding Her Mission Through Public Office and Public Speaking
To elevate child welfare on a broader scale, MPA Sarah Ahmad decided to pursue public office and was elected as a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab in 2024. This move enabled her to propose and support stronger legislation safeguarding children’s rights. Through consistent dialogue with local communities and law enforcement, she identifies the greatest barriers to child protection and seeks to dismantle them through legal reforms. She has also intensified efforts to confront criminal networks trafficking children into begging and lead legal actions against perpetrators of child abuse and domestic violence.
Additionally, Sarah Ahmad prioritizes speaking at seminars, workshops, and forums to discuss the societal impacts of child neglect and exploitation while advocating for solutions. Her passionate speeches and inspiring actions encourage citizens from all walks of life to contribute to defending Pakistan’s most vulnerable population.

With the support of the government, MPA Sarah Ahmad and her team are committed to creating practical and effective solutions for the following issues:

Child Labor & Beggary
This involves launching rescue missions to take children off the streets and placing them into CPWB.

Safety of Abandoned Infants & Street Children
The CPWB rescues abandoned infants and vulnerable children from the streets, provides them with holistic care, and reunites them with (or gets them adopted into) families.

Child Trafficking & Exploitation
Sarah Ahmad actively works with the police to dismantle child trafficking rings and urges citizens to report suspicious activities to the hotline 1121.

"The protection of children is a sacred trust, and we must do everything in our power to safeguard their well-being and dignity."
